Follow us Creating a world record, a Pune-based infrastructure company built a 25.56 km or 75 lane km bituminous National Highway in Maharashtra in just 78 hours. The earlier world record of 25.27 km was achieved in Doha, Qatar, by its public works authority – Ashgha. NEW DELHI: Creating a world record, a Pune-based infrastructure company built a 25.56 km or 75 lane km bituminous National Highway in Maharashtra in just 78 hours. The earlier world record of 25.27 km was achieved in Doha, Qatar, by its public works authority – Ashgha.The feat was achieved by Rajpath Infracon on Tuesday, which had deployed around 800 employees and over 700 workers on this 25.56-km stretch of NH-53 between Amravati and Akola.The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded the work for expansion of the entire 70-km highway to the Pune-based firm. Officials said MSV International Inc managed the construction supervision services for this project.The construction work commenced on June 3 and continued till Tuesday without any break.Union road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari tweeted, "Celebrating the rich legacy of our nation with #AzadiKaAmrutMahotsav, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji @NHAI_Official successfully completed a Guinness World Record (@GWR)..."Earlier Gadkari had tweeted, “My best wishes to them for their target of world record. The representatives on the behalf of Guinness Book of World Records are present at the actual work site and recording all activities.
