pembs Aug 6, 2014 11,731 47,071 162 Seen a T7030 that's caught my eye,on a 07 plate, done 8K on clock and had new transmission. What's there to look at on them? I know the hours are up,but with new transmission the rest of the tractor should be sound? Any input much appreciated (y)

Nov 26, 2015 998 1,159 83 Sounds dodgy to me. Why did the previous owner spend probably 10k on a new transmission then flog the tractor? Probably because the bits floating around the system from the recent transmission problem is causing havoc with the rest of the tractor. There's more to a tractor than an engine and gearbox!

Will find out Monday why it had transmission,or whether is cane in as px as a non runner and the dealer did the box.. I'm fully aware there's more to a tractor than engine and gear box (y) vinnie123

dorset May 14, 2014 898 992 67 43 Depends whether trans was done 50 hrs ago or 500? Also is it a dairy farmers tractor? They've been tight times recently and with milk price rises coming they'll be spending it before they've got it!

Yes that's true, same here..... But the bits from the brakes had also got into the hydraulic pump, spools etc etc etc Chae1

Brakes were alright on ours. Did them in winter at about 4k hours before they failed. If the clutch packs fail there shouldn't be bits broken up in backend oil. We were warned to stop immediately when error code comes up, to avoid further damage and expense. Cost of our repair covered 3 packs high, low and medium range. @cosmagedon did them himself I think Last edited: Jan 14, 2017 Sheep

Thing to watch out for on the front axle is dried oil/grease around the housing, hard to tell other than that. Costs about £1000-1500 to fix afaik if you stop it quickly. Power command? Not often they need complete new transmissions. Thomas5060

Feb 14, 2013 390 277 50 36 I don't know if this will help as a base for price as it got my eye for the money plus it's got steering. http://www.tvmachinery.com/used-far...age-4040-hrs-2c929b135982f4ac0159895189f3302d
