NH TT55 Shift Problem - My Tractor Forum

iktomi I Hey Guys. Listen, I work on tractors and have a TT55 in here with only 90 hours. The clutch apparently failed due to inexperience of the operators (Im Guessing) Im thinking this has a double clutch ? The clutch was replaced by another party. It engages and disengages but was stuck in 3rd. I got the tractor in last night. High and Low works. It was driven here to me. Service Manuals are a little pricey and not offered by IT. I first off Popped the Top. The centers of the fork shafts are peened a bit but shouldn't interfere. SOMEONE has been in there. The clutch installer had the cover off...why did he have it off ? Does anyone one have a procedure to set up of forks for reinstall of shifters? I cant seem to manually get it in neutral and without the manual am a little leery. If I have missed info you need let me know. Thanks ! ADDENDUM: Reinstalled the lid. It will shift into gear but on clutch engagement appears to be under heavy load..It WILL stall. As if Emergency brake is applied. Seems to go in one gear only when shifter appears to be in neutral. 3rd ?) High and low works. #1 · Feb 21, 2012 (Edited) Hey Guys.
