Governance
2025 Board Nominations information and resourcesNeighbourhood Houses Tasmania (NHT) is the peak body for the Neighbourhood House Network. Our purpose is to represent and resource the Neighbourhood Houses in Tasmania. Neighbourhood Houses are local community-led organisations that build capacity using a community development approach.
The NHT Board provides governance and strategic leadership for the organisation. The Board is committed to the principles of strong corporate governance, upholding the highest standards of ethical and responsible conduct in executing fiduciary duties.
There are two board positions available. Board terms are for a period of 3 years.
Please note that when the current Constitution was adopted in 2023, the terms of appointment for the first Board Members elected were staggered to avoid all Board Members being on the same tenure rotation.
- NHT Board Nomination Form 2025 – 208.95 KB
- NHT Board Nominations Pack 2025 – 85.32 KB
The role of every Board Member is to ensure the House, for which you re responsible on behalf of the membership of the Association, and the community, fulfills its purpose. The guiding question for all Board Members should be: "How will this assist the House to Fulfill its purpose?"
