Đây là một số lỗi thường gặp khi join hệ điều hành Windows vào Samba Domain:

Lỗi 1:

The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "DOMAINNAME": The network path was not found

Cách khắc phục: Kiểm tra lại địa chỉ IP, gateway có cùng subnet hay không. Thực hiện ping kiểm tra server.

Lỗi 2:

The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "DOMAINNAME": No mapping between account names and security IDs was done

Cách khắc phục: Chỉnh lại hostname của máy client ở dạng chữ thường.

Lỗi 3:

The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "DOMAINNAME": Access is denied.

Cách khắc phục: Lỗi này xẩy ra khi bạn cố gắn join vào domain bằng username thường. Hãy join bằng user root.

Lỗi 4:

The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "DOMAINNAME": Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

Cách khắc phục: Chỉnh lại user của root bằng lệnh smbldap-passwd -a root

Lỗi 5:

A domain controller for the domain "DOMAINNAME" could not be contacted.

Cách khắc phục: Máy client chưa phân giải được DNS của Samba domain. Trỏ DNS client về Samba domain hoặc WINS về samba domain
