Said to preside over law, order, wit, and fortune, her many roles would typically demand her keep a low profile. Though given almost anyone will give a different account of her behavior and personality, it’s not a rule she strictly adheres to. The people of Liyue interact with her enough to exchange countless stories of her knack for striking deals, looking after local kids, and being the life of its upper-class events.

How to Get Ningguang

Ningguang is a 4-star character available on the character banner. For higher chances of getting her, wait for her rate up.

Combat Details

Should you happen to pull Ningguang away from her duties through a Wish, you’ll have on your hands a versatile Geo-attuned Catalyst user - the first and only such combination in the game right now. As is the case with most Geo adventurers, Ningguang’s place on the battlefield is considered defensive or support-like. At least early on. As her Talents and Constellations improve, she gains the ability to use her defensive Elemental Skill to bolster her offensive power; though the longevity of her main skill demands her to stack Max HP.

Ningguang benefits from a unique Catalyst Normal/Charged Attack combo that increases the latter’s damage output based on how much she uses the former. Each Normal Attack generates a “Star Jade” which are then spent to deliver additional hits with her Charged Attack.

Ningguang's Talents and Skill Priorities

Ningguang has the ability to wreak havoc with her star jades especially when the setup is perfect. As a main DPS Geo user however, having no access to elemental reactions that can ease damage dealing and instead providing shields can be quite underwhelming. Aside from that, Ningguang is a really fun catalyst user with a different mechanic that sets her apart from the bunch.

Skill priorities would be:

Normal Attack	Sparkling Scatter	Tap: Ranged Geo DMG attack - Each hit grants 1 Star Jade Hold: Single hit Geo DMG with one additional hit per Star Jade on Ningguang when used Plunge: AoE Geo DMG
Elemental Skill	Jade Screen	Ningguang creates a Jade Screen out of gold, obsidian, and her great opulence, dealing AoE Geo DMG.Jade Screen Blocks enemy projectiles. Endurance scales based on Ningguang's Max HP. Jade Screen is considered a Geo Construct and can be used to block certain attacks, but cannot be climbed. Only one Jade Screen may exist at any one time.
Elemental Burst	Starshatter	Fires projectiles that deal massive Geo DMG. A nearby Jade Screen will fire additional projectiles when cast.
First Ascension Passive	Backup Plan	Charged Attacks consume no Stamina if Ningguang has at least 1 Star Jade.
Fourth Ascension Passive	Strategic Reserve	Characters that pass through the Jade Screen gain 12% Geo DMG Bonus for 10s.
Passive Talent	Trove of Marvelous Treasures	When active, Ningguang reveals the location of nearby ore on the mini-map.

Ningguang's Constellations

The higher Ningguang's constellations get, the better her damage output becomes. C1 is where she gets started with her normal attacks becoming AoE. But at C6? She becomes a powerhouse that can burst bosses down.

Shock Effect (C2)	When Jade Screen breaks, the skill CD is reset.
Majesty be the Array of Stars (C3)	Increases the level of Starshatter by 3.
Exquisite be the Jade, Outshining All the Beneath (C4)	Allies within 10m of Jade Screen take 10% reduced Elemental DMG.
Invincible be the Jade Screen (C5)	Increases the level of Jade Screen by 3.
Grandeur be the Seven Stars (C6)	Ningguang gains 7 Star Jades when Sharshatter is used.

Best Ningguang Character Builds

Ningguang sets herself apart as the only Geo catalyst user to date. Even though she doesn't trigger elemental reactions that deal additional damage like Vaporize or Melt, she overcompensates it with the amount of burst damage she can do.

Best Weapons for Ningguang

Since Ningguang would be doing quite a bit of normal attacks, weapons like Solar Pearl and Dodoco Tales are really good for her. Memory of Dust and Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds are going to be your best in slots as these provide much more than just attack damage bonus.

Memory of Dust	Increases Shield Strength by 20%. Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4% for 8s. Max 5 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s. While protected by a shield, this ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.
Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds	Increases Movement SPD by 10%. When in battle, gain an 8% Elemental DMG Bonus every 4s. Max 4 stacks. Lasts until the character falls or leaves combat.
Solar Pearl	Normal Attack hits increase Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG by 20% for 6s. Likewise, Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst hits increase Normal Attack DMG by 20% for 6s.
Dodoco Tales	Normal Attack hits on opponents increase Charged Attack DMG by 16% for 6s. Charged Attack hits on opponents increase ATK by 8% for 6s.

Best Artifacts for Ningguang

There are two combinations of Ningguang's artifact sets. These can either be 2 piece Archaic Petra and 2 piece Noblesse Oblige, or 2 piece Archaic Petra and 2 piece Gladiator's Finale. Go for the 2 piece Noblesse Oblige if you want your elemental burst to deal more damage. The generalist should go with the 2 piece Gladiator's Finale.

Main stats to look out for are ATK Sands, Geo DMG% Goblet, Crit Rate/Crit Damage Circlet depending on your Crit Rate.

Archaic Petra	2-piece effect: Geo DMG Bonus +15% 4-piece effect: Upon obtaining an Elemental Shard created through a Crystallize Reaction, all party members gain 35% DMG Bonus for that particular element for 10s. Only one form of Elemental DMG Bonus can be gained in this manner at any one time.
Noblesse Oblige	2-piece effect: Elemental Burst DMG +20% 4-piece effect: Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.
Gladiator's Finale	2-piece effect: ATK +18%. 4-piece effect: If the wielder of this artifact set uses a Sword, Claymore or Polearm, increases their Normal Attack DMG by 35%.
