Noctua NH-D15, fitting to LGA1200, no instructions? Vectorspace By Vectorspace September 8, 2020 in Cooling Share https://linustechtips.com/topic/1244383-noctua-nh-d15-fitting-to-lga1200-no-instructions/
 Followers 1 Go to solution Solved by minibois, September 8, 2020

I suspect that the fitting instructions are exactly the same as the LGA115x. Can anyone confirm this?

Confirmed.

The heatsink mounting on Intel's new LGA1200 platform (code name Comet Lake S, Z490 chipset) is identical to all LGA115x sockets (LGA1150, LGA1151, LGA1155, LGA1156). Therefore, all Noctua CPU coolers that support LGA115x also support LGA1200 and don't require any mountig updates.

I'm planning a new build, and would like to use the Noctua NH-D15. The website does say it's compatible with the LGA1200 socket, but the downloadable manual does not include instructions for the LGA1200. I assume its simply because the manual predates the release of the socket.

I suspect that the fitting instructions are exactly the same as the LGA115x. Can anyone confirm this?

So I can use older version of D15 purchased back in 2016 for sck 1200?

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

    Thanks for understanding.
