Hello everyone!Currently im using Noctua NH-U12S SE-AM4(double fan setup) with my Ryzen 2600x which is 95W TDP and i want to upgrade to upcoming 3000 series. Would it be a problem with this cooler if i get a 105W Tdp rated Cpu?(3800x) Can i still hit the upper limits of Turbo Clock on games? Also i would be happy to hear what you guys think about 3700x vs 3600x. Can 3700x beat 3600x on games no matter what? Thanks! If you are only gaming there is little reason to get a 3700x. These CPUs come with a stock cooler. And the NH-U12S will be perfectly capable of cooling these chips. < > Showing 1-6 of 6 comments The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic. Thanks for the quick reply. And Yeah im only gaming @1080p but i want to get closer to 144fps on games like ac origins, ghost recon wildlands, witcher 3 etc.So 105W tdp is not too much for my cooler right? When we consider im not Oc’ing and i just want to hit turbo boost freqs. #2 Astraea Kisaragi View Profile View Posts 21 Jun, 2019 @ 6:44am Your cooler is rated 140W TDP. 105W is prefectly fine, AMD FX was 125W or more, yet they ran just okay for people. And Ryzen runs even cooler and has a better thermal throttle.3700X is impressive though with its 65W TDP for such a classy CPU. #3 paingineerr View Profile View Posts 21 Jun, 2019 @ 7:06am

Hello sorry for not responding in time. Thanks for the info and may i ask what did u mean by missmatching the fans? I mean i use noctua’s fan and they spin at same rpm.(usually more than %90 speed most of the time) #6 < > Showing 1-6 of 6 comments Per page: 1530 50 All Discussions > Steam Forums > Hardware and Operating Systems > Topic Details Date Posted: 21 Jun, 2019 @ 5:01amPosts: 6 Start a New Discussion Discussions Rules and Guidelines Close
