NVIDIA Introduces 1440p Esports Displays, Stunning New OLED ...

HomeNVIDIA introduces 1440p esports displays, stunning new OLED, Mini LED, powered by NVIDIA G-SyncAt CES 2022, NVIDIA and its partners announced a bevy of new world class displays and technologies for all types of use cases, enabled by NVIDIA G-Sync and GeForce. For starters, NVIDIA is setting a new monitor category - 1440p esports displays because with today's top GeForce RTX GPUs rendering esports games well above 360 fps at 1440p - the industry is primed for a change. The next level is the new 1440p, 27" up to 360Hz category. Higher resolution panels improve aiming performance because they provide larger and more detailed targets. NVIDIA's own research showed that 1440p 27-inch displays can improve aiming by up to 3% over traditional 1080 24 inch displays when aiming at small targets. Smooth movement is key for quickly interpreting scenes in motion and staying on target. Now, 1440p 27-inch displays reach the same 360Hz refresh rate as 1080p 25-inch displays - thanks to AUO's IPS innovations like Dual-Driver found on the Asus ROG Swift PG27AQN. These high refresh rates generate the same smooth and responsive feeling of a 1080p 25-inch display, but in a larger, crisper form factor. Additionally, the new class of 1440p G-SYNC esports displays have an enhanced vibrance mode – specifically tuned for esports – built directly into the monitor firmware. Colors do pop up, easpecially when using mini-LED backlights and oxide (IGZO) transistors to get an HDR feel with SDR content. NVIDIA also introduced Dual-Format, so you can play at the familiar 25-inch diagonal size at 1080p. Simply enable Dual-Format in the monitor settings and choose your desired resolution. It has also added a new special resolution that makes a pixel perfect 25-inch display for increased 25-inch sharpness. Reflex Analyzer is now automatically configured - making latency measurement a 1-click experience that is incredibly easy to use. Now, all you have to do is plug your mouse into the proper USB port on your monitor and hit Alt + R - that's it. Among all other things, NVIDIA also introduced four new 1440 G-Sync esports displays it deems to be the future of esports monitors. These are:
  • Asus ROG Swift PG27AQN with AUO's special panel, 360Hz refresh rate
  • MSI MEG 271Q Mini LED - the world's first 27-inch 300Hz Rapid IPS Mini LED gaming monitor
  • AOC AGON Pro AG274QGM Mini LED which also has a 27-inch, 1440p, 300Hz display
  • ViewSonic Elite XG272G-2K with the same 27-inch, 1440p, 300Hz display
Finally, NVIDIA also mentioned the Dell Alienware AW3423DW with a 34-inch QD-OLED panel by Samsung that's G-Sync Ultimate certified and three 4K Mini LED display with NVIDIA's Reflex Latency Analyzer:
  • Acer Predator X32 with a 4K 31.9-inch IPS display using a Mini LED backlight with 576 mini LEDs for 1200 nits of peak brightness thanks to AUO's AmLED technology
