A quick look comparing

to

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Graphics-4000.69168.0.html

shows that the NVS5200 is MUCH faster but still not that great ^^;

As far as tips go: Dont expect too much from either of those. There are however guides and sometimes special CFG Files that can help you run some games better on older / less powerful hardware like that. Google is your friend as far as that goes.

    I recently purchased a Dell latittude 4360 for schoolwork and some gaming if I bring it with me. It has 4gb of ram which I will ugrade with ram from a orevious laptop. This laptop has a fairly decent CPU for the price I pad for it $148, its the i7 3740qm (4c 8t 3.7 ghz and decent cache.) Now this laptop has intergrated graphics which are Intel HD 4000 but it also has an nvidia NVS 5200 in it aswell. Im aware that neither of these are super powerfull, but really I just plan on playing CS:GO, The Binding of Isaac, and maybe even gta 5 since ive seen on youtube that you can get around 40-60 frames with medium setttings. However I read somewhere that the intel HD 4000 are actually a bit better than the NVS 5200. Is this true? Ive been reading different sites and seems like nobody really has an answer. If so how could I make sure that they get used while gaming? I feel like the nvidia graphics are better but idk. Also, any tips for possibly boosting FPS besides setting "high performance" in the settings? seems like the nvidia gpu can be overclocked a touch so ill do that, but otherwise, any other ideas? Thanks. :)

    So it seems like maybe I could play some games at lower settings, I know you may not have what Im getting, but would you say itll run a few games? And any ideas to boost fps a bit?

    Older Titles as in pre 2012 - sure (the closer you get to 2012 the lower the settings)

    Emulation - sure (older consoles)

    ESports Title - CS Go / Rocket League - somewhat (possibly lower resolution / cfg tweaks)

    2d Titles like Binding of Isaac you mentioned should run fine too.

    As far as fps tips go there isnt much you can do to your Hardware/Globally you would have to look into specific games as i mentioned in my previous post already.
