Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs. In this section, we are going to illustrate the Panasonic G95 and Panasonic GX9 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Panasonic G95 has external dimensions of 130 x 94 x 77 mm (5.12 x 3.7 x 3.03″) and weighs 536 g (1.18 lb / 18.91 oz) (including batteries). Panasonic GX9 has external dimensions of 124 x 72 x 47 mm (4.88 x 2.83 x 1.85″) and weighs 450 g (0.99 lb / 14.36 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Panasonic G95 and the Panasonic GX9. Panasonic GX9 is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 6mm narrower, 22mm shorter and 30mm thinner than Panasonic G95.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Panasonic G95 and Panasonic GX9.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day. Panasonic GX9 is significantly lighter (86g ) than the Panasonic G95 which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you also have to take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since both Panasonic G95 and Panasonic GX9 have the same Micro Four Thirds lens mount and Four Thirds sized sensors, lenses will not be a differentiator on total size of the system.

G95 GX9 Min Average Max Thickness ComparisonMirrorless Cameras
G95 GX9 Min Average Max Weather SealingWith its weather-sealed body, we believe that the G95 has a big advantage over the GX9 which doesn't provide any kind of environmental sealing.
LCD Screen Size and FeaturesPanasonic G95 and Panasonic GX9's LCD screens have the same diagonal size of 3.00 inches.
Panasonic GX9 features a Tilting-only screen which is mostly only good for shooting from waist or over-the-head levels. On the other hand, Panasonic G95 sports a Fully Articulated screen which is more flexible and useful, especially for taking selfies and video. Panasonic G95 has a 20.3MP Four Thirds (17.3 x 13 mm ) sized CMOS sensor and features Venus Engine processor. On the other hand, Panasonic GX9 has a 20.0MP Four Thirds (17.3 x 13 mm ) sized CMOS sensor and features Venus Engine processor.Another similarity between these two cameras is that both Panasonic GX9 and Panasonic G95 sensors lack anti-alias (Low-Pass) filters. Removing anti-alias filter increases the sharpness and level of detail but at the same time, it increases the chance of moiré occurring in certain scenes.
Below you can see the G95 and GX9 sensor size comparison.
Panasonic G95 and Panasonic GX9 have the same sensor sizes so they will provide same level of control over the depth of field when used with same focal length and aperture.
The number of available lenses is a big deciding factor when choosing your interchangeable lens camera. Panasonic G95 and Panasonic GX9 have the same Micro Four Thirds lens mount and currently there are 130 native lenses available for these cameras.
Another important factor is the availability of image stabilization. Both Panasonic G95 and Panasonic GX9 have Sensor-based Image stabilization which means that all the lenses will be stabilized in these bodies.
