Paydays fall on the 15th and the last day of the month. If the 15th or last day of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, you will be paid on the preceding business day. Pay periods run from the 1st through the 15th and from the 16th through the last day of the month. For employees scheduled to work 20 hours or more per week, your first paycheck will include your scheduled hours from your date of hire to the end of the pay period. If you’ve incurred any overtime, docked time or additional straight time (as shown by your timecard), they will not be included in the first pay. Generally there is a two-three week lag due to processing time for these types of adjustments and the same will apply going forward. For employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week, your first paycheck will be based off the time reported via one of the time and attendance systems. These hours are paid once the time is reported and approved, typically two-three weeks later, on the next scheduled payday. Tracking time and attendance At JPMorgan Chase, we track time and attendance electronically using multiple systems. Please see your manager for clarification on which system you should use. If you are a nonexempt employee (that is, you are eligible for overtime pay), you are paid for all hours spent performing work-related activities for the firm, and it is especially critical that all hours worked be recorded so that they are paid. You are responsible for ensuring that time records are accurately maintained. No work can be done “off the clock” either at a manager's request or because of your own desire to do work on your own time. You are also responsible for recording any time away from work, as appropriate, under the respective Human Resources policies, such as vacation, personal days and sick time. Supervisors/managers of a nonexempt employee must review and approve their timecard before data is sent to payroll. Exempt employees will be expected to record only their time away, as appropriate, under the respective Human Resources policies. Direct deposit You may have your pay directly deposited to any checking or saving account you choose. As an employee you may open an account by contacting your local branch. To set up your pay for direct deposit, you can go online at HR & Personal > My Personal Toolkit > +More > Direct Deposit. Pay statements online JPMorgan Chase provides an electronic method for delivering your pay statement without the need to receive paper. You can access your current and historical pay statements from your desktop at home or work. Paper pay statements will only be issued for employees who do not have direct access to the JPMorgan Chase intranet. If you elect direct deposit as your method of pay and you have direct access to the intranet, paper will not be generated. Your pay information is available at HR & Personal > My Personal Toolkit three business days before payday. >>> http://newhire.jpmorganchase.com 10 > > > Paid Time Off Paid time off JPMorgan Chase’s time off policies provide a competitive benefit that recognizes and rewards employees for their service. It also provides you time away from work emphasizing the importance of rest, relaxation and balancing professional and personal matters. You must obtain your manager’s approval to use your vacation time. More on our vacation policy, eligibility and accruals can be found at HR & Personal > Career & Work > HR Policies > Time Away from Work > Vacation. Lines of business may develop and communicate a different holiday schedule based on state, local or industry practice. Check with your manager about the holiday schedule for your business. More on the firm’s holiday policy can be found at HR & Personal > Career & Work > HR Policies > Time Away from Work > Holidays. Personal days Personal days may be scheduled during the year with your manager’s approval. For most full-time and part-time salaried employees, the annual amount of personal days equals 2 days. To calculate the number of personal days based on your hire or rehire date, or for more information on eligibility, go to HR & Personal > Career & Work > HR Policies > Time Away from Work > Time Off Policies > Personal days. Sick time For most full-time and part-time salaried employees, the annual amount of sick time is equal to the number of days in your regularly scheduled workweek plus one day (e.g. six sick days for exempt employees regularly scheduled to work five days per week.) Code of Conduct At JPMorgan Chase, all employees are accountable for their actions. The company’s Code of Conduct provides a framework to guide employees in their actions. All employees should read and be familiar with the Code of Conduct and comply with its terms as a condition of employment. Harassment-free workplace JPMorgan Chase is committed to maintaining a professional and collegial work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. Accordingly, no form of harassment or inappropriate conduct is tolerated by or against employees, customers, vendors, contractors or any other individuals who conduct business with the firm. Employees are required to cooperate with the firm to promote equal opportunity and prevent inappropriate conduct, and managers are expected to create an atmosphere where complaints of violation of this policy can be voiced without fear of retaliation or intimidation. This policy applies not only in all JPMorgan Chase work locations, but also to any work-related activities outside the workplace, such as business trips and business-related social events. If you have a question or concern about this policy or about your responsibilities, you may discuss them with your manager, your HR Business Partner (as appropriate for your business), or Employee Relations - Advice Connection at 1-888-703-5555. Securing information After our people, information is JPMorgan Chase’s most important asset and it must always be secured appropriately. JPMorgan Chase maintains a great deal of confidential and sensitive information for our employees, customers and business partners and we must preserve its confidentiality, integrity and availability at all times. All forms of information, whether printed, electronic, spoken or committed to memory, are covered by Information Technology Risk Management policies, which can be found on the intranet at Company Home > About Us > Policies. These policies address the many ways we securely share information and the delivery channels we use, such as telephones, computers, fax machines and copiers. Employees are expected to understand and follow policies, standards, and best practices for use of technology and protection of information. Refer to the IT Risk Management website for more information. In addition, you're required to complete a mandatory course called Technology Usage and Information Protection Practices for Users within your first 90 days of employment. The training will provide you with specifics on information protection essentials.
