Memorial ID 231233841 231233841 View Source Phan Thi Mao was a attractive and young Vietnamese woman who was abducted, gang raped and murdered on November 19th, 1966 during the Vietnam war. In 1969 Author Daniel Lang wrote an article for the New York times and later published a Book Incident on Hill 192 about the tragic event. In 1989 Screen Writer and director Brian De Palmer directed the movie Casualties of war based on the book and her tragic tale.
