Synopsis[]

Mr. Bean orders a takeaway pizza but feels let down by the size of it when it arrives, so he sets out to bake his own.

Plot[]

Mr. Bean says that it is lunch time to Teddy, and thinks of what to make. Or, by getting a menu of Don Crustyoni's, he can just buy a pizza. Bean calls Don Crustyoni's and orders a pepperoni pizza. Later, Bean is looking at his watch, waiting for the pizza to arrive. The doorbell rings and Bean pays £5 as he takes the pizza box. Bean opens up the pizza box, only to realise that it was an unusually tiny pizza, much to his annoyance. He picks up the menu, and the picture of the pizza in the box is big. Bean eats the miniscule pizza and asks Teddy if he wants it, and Bean shakes Teddy's head; Bean eats the other half of the pizza. Because the pizza was incredibly small, Bean is still hungry and wonders if he can make his own pizza.

Bean gets the olive oil, flour, and a can of sardines from the food cupboard. All the ingredients are on the kitchen worktops, and Bean pours flour and butter in the bowl; the powder from the flour causes Bean to sneeze, making Teddy white from the flour. Bean rolls the dough with the rolling pin and he tosses the dough up in the air, but it gets stuck on the ceiling, before it falls on Bean's head. Then Bean puts pepperoni, mushrooms, and two smaller doughs to make a pizza that has the shape of Teddy's head. On the table, Bean eats a slice of pizza and it was delicious. Bean gets an idea; he designs his own pizza menu and the name of his pizza parlour is Pizza Bean. He then goes to the print shop to photocopy the menu and distributes them to numerous people, including Don Crustyoni's delivery man. When the traffic light turns green, Bean drives off while the truck behind the delivery van honks at him. Back at Bean's flat, he brings in more boxes and ingredients. His phone rings so Bean answers it, and he receives orders so he writes them down; while simultaneously making the pizza. Later, Bean is delivering the pizza to the customers. Then, Bean is answering his phone, writing down their orders, and making the pizza. Bean is getting bombarded with all the calls, but he does not answer it and decides to come up with another idea. Later, Bean is drawing up plans to build a machine he can use to make the pizza.

Later, Bean answers an order from the phone, just as the pizza machine is completed. Bean turns on the machine and it automatically makes the pizza. Don Crustyoni's delivery man is asleep while Don Crustyoni gradually becomes angry because there are no orders. Later that night, Bean collects all the money he had earned when he receives another call. The caller wants to order a pizza in which Bean asks if he can wait a minute and hangs up. Then he receives another call and asks if he can call him back. Bean gets annoyed when he receives another call, so he answers it and lets Teddy talk to it while Bean carries away the boxes. Back at Don Crustyoni's, Don Crustyoni is angry at his delivery man because there are no orders. He then sees the menu for Pizza Bean so he calls it. Bean receives more money and tells them that is enough for the day. Bean then receives another call so he answers it; Don Crustyoni chuckles after their call.

Bean goes to Don Crustyoni's palace and rings the doorbell. Then his bodyguards answer and bring Bean inside to Don Crustyoni's desk. Don Crustyoni asks Bean if he knows who he is to which Bean says he doesn't know him; Don Crustyoni introduces himself to Bean. Bean realises he is the pizza delivery man and he has a bone to pick with him when Don Crustyoni's bodyguards are ready to attack Bean so he can wait. Don Crustyoni tells Bean this town is not large enough for the two of them, so he wants to put Bean 'out of business, permanently' and rips up the menu. He orders his two bodyguards to kill Bean. When the bodyguards punch Bean he dodges, making the bodyguards punch themselves by mistake and fall down. Angry, Don Crustyoni decides to kill Bean himself so he pursues him. Bean runs upstairs and goes to the balcony where there is no way to escape. Don Crustyoni corners Bean so Bean throws the pizza to his face. He tastes the pizza and he realises that it tastes good; the best he ever tasted. Don Crustyoni wants Bean to tell him his secret. So Bean brings Don Crustyoni to his kitchen and Don Crustyoni sees his pizza-making machine. He makes an offer to Bean he cannot refuse, briefly scaring Bean; Don Crustyoni gives Bean a large amount of money for his machine, to his delight. At Restaurant La Cuisine, Bean orders pizza, but the restaurant owner is unimpressed by Bean's order.

Trivia[]

• According to the storyboards, Mrs. Wicket was supposed to appear in this episode, but she was ultimately cut in the final release.
• There is also a recipe from the Handy Bean episode on how to make a pizza in the shape of Teddy but it's much smaller.
• The pizza machine strongly resembles the cookie machine from Edward Scissorhands, where both have the same process.
• The name of the episode is a parody resembled to Pizza Hut.

• When Don Crustyoni asked the Delivery Man that there were no more orders, there was a grammar error. He said, "Why are no orders?!" instead of "Why are there no orders?!".
