Please join us in congratulating Dr. Thanh (Professor at University College London) for receiving the Royal Society’s 2019 Rosalind Franklin Award for her research on nanotechnology and efforts toward gender equality.

She has proposed a project to organize and deliver a residential summer science camp that is tailored to inspire and motivate Year 8 students, mainly girls from underprivileged or ethnic minority backgrounds from deprived parts of London, who are currently underrepresented in STEM careers.

The Rosalind Franklin Award is annually award to a woman doing outstanding work in STEM. She will have the honor of presenting in the Royal Society’s public lecture series.
