got this new wifi+3g vita ,when tried to setup it asked for a system update which i didnot do , don'know what software it is on but think it's 3.01 now when i try to set it up , it comes with this error after i put the time and date ,press next, in the next step it asks to enable the Ps vita systems mobile network feature, when I press next the world map keeps circling and then after 2 minutes it shows this error. A serious error occurred .contact technical support for assistance (C2-9693-7) tried to reset it by pressing power button for 30 sec nothing happened . 2) the rest by pressing power + pop button with right button didn't do anything either. there is no sim card in the vita ,and i have taken the memory card out as well but still its the same any help. I've tried it with a sim card but still the same Tried to connect it to CMA it recognises the Sony shows me the old backup files but doesn't do anything. Any help how to get it going thanks ================ Reset it by pressing 3 button together to boot in recovery the rt bumper +power+psp for 5sec till you see the recovery menu, update system software by connecting it to the pc Advertising Last edited by qwikrazor87 on Wed May 28, 2014 10:01 am, edited 1 time in total. I had exactly the same issue and did exactly what somebody (qwikrazor?) has suggested at the bottom of your post. I couldn't get into the safe menu so I took the back off the vita and flicked off the ribbon cables from the r trigger and power buttons. Gave them a little clean and put them back in. Held the r trigger first, then the ps button then the power button and it booted to safe mode. Plugged it into my laptop and updated via CMA (I had to uninstall open CMA as (as far as I'm aware) you can only update through official CMA). Exchanged it for vita wifi/3gs, it came with 2.60 on it Top Locked
