The Snapdragon 720g delivers quite impressive performance, in that it doesn't throttle at all. Specifically, it doesn't throttle on Xiaomi's Redmi Note line. The Xiaomi Redmi Note line! It doesn't throttle! Not one bit! This processor can only be pushed by some sort of engineering marvel and nothing else. For its price, it's definitely top-notch. No wonder Realme has been including it in the pro versions of their budget-friendly phones for three generations straight (6, 7, and 8). But the next one will probably come out with the Dimensity 810 or something, because the 720g is starting to get outdated and should gradually move towards more budget-friendly smartphones, like the regular Realme lineup (not pro).

  • Low cost. It's an uncompromising top-notch.

  • Slightly outdated. There are similar options with higher performance, but they start to throttle a bit.

I had a Note 9S and its performance was decent at the time. It could handle demanding games with medium to low graphic settings.
