The cooler would've been ideal(either one) if you had an unlocked K suffix processor. Click to expand...I was gonna get the unlocked version but nah I am too scared too overclock it so yh are you sure my pc won't run hot on stock coolers if i do gaming. I think I will go with Noctua NH U9S which is £49 just to be on the safe side. What do you say? Upvote 0 Downvote Z

So I hope it keeps the system cool. Upvote 0 Downvote

The difference between the locked and unlocked is that the locked cpu will run within Intel's thermal specifications, so it shouldn't run over 80C. Give the stock cooler a chance before you go and waste money on a 50-80pound cooler, only to see a few degrees difference.

Click to expand...1)You're too scared to overclock the cpu, but for whatever reason, the gpu and ram(XMP is an overclock, by the way) are fair game? What's with that logic? 2)Unlike Ryzen cpus, Intel's chips do not have 20-30% of their performance gated behind memory speed, so enabling XMP so you can run 3000mhz instead of the 9700's 2666 will show next to no benefit. The whole point of getting a Z motherboard is to overclock the cpu. If you don't even want to do that, don't waste more money getting a Z board, and get B365 model instead. 3)Memory doesn't run that hot to begin with, even with an overclock, so the stock cooler is fine. 4)The GTX 1080 doesn't necessarily need your intervention to overclock either. As long as you have good case cooling, with Gpu Boost, it will automatically boost as high as it can as if it were already overclocked. 5)CASE: Sahara P35 RGB Case has poor airflow and no filtered front intake... Nothing will fix temps better than a case with proper airflow. An NH-D15S nor the NH-U12S can improve temps by much when the case airflow is already bad. Get a more airflow friendly case, otherwise... 6)You're just throwing money away. Upvote 0 Downvote Z

Click to expand...Thank you so much for clearing away some of confusion as this is my first built so dont know much and second though I might no overclock GPU aswell because I think its good enough to run most games just fine. Lastly can you suggest me a good rgb case then under £100 because what i have found out after doing my reserach that Sahara P35 is really good rgb case. Thanks again Upvote 0 Downvote Z

Let's see: Cooler Master MasterBox MB511 RGB Cooler Master MasterCase H500 Cooler Master MasterBox MB500 Phanteks Eclipse P400 Digital [This is actually P400'A'. The 'A' is important. The non-A doesn't have the mesh front panel.] Thermaltake Versa J24 ARGB Thermaltake Commander C32 TG ARGB Thermaltake Versa J22 RGB Silverstone RL06 Silverstone PM01 You can have your cake, and eat it too... without sacrificing a ton of cooling performance!

Click to expand...Yes, but mounting the push-pin stock coolers has always been tricky, and if you don't do it a certain way, you're guaranteed an improper mount. X formation: top-left and bottom-right pins should be pushed in at the same time. The pins need to CLICK. Then do the same with the other 2. It's important that the pins CLICK, otherwise they are not likely secured to the motherboard. Upvote 0 Downvote Z
