volvo V hi all, i am at the end of my tether with my v40 radio! cannot get a code for it anywhere, have tried volvo and they didn't want to know, have tried asking for help on other forums but no joy, is there anyone at all out there who could kindly help me generate the code? 2002 v40, the radio is an HU-605 and serial number is : VO208019195105L If anyone can help i would appreciate this dearly, only last option is to send it away which i cannot afford, nor can i afford a new stereo. Thanks in advance Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions #2 · Jan 24, 2015 Unfortunately there's no way to "generate" a code from either the HU's serial number or the car's VIN (after all that's part of the security feature of the unit). The only people who can help you are Volvo. When you say "they didn't want to know" are they simply refusing to help - which would surprise me - or are they saying they don't have that information for a 13 year old car (which is possible).
