Ramun the Slave Trader is a character in Mount&Blade, Mount&Blade: Warband, and Mount&Blade: With Fire & Sword.

Overview[]

Ramun, upstairs in Tihr's tavern

Ramun, upstairs in Tihr's tavern

Ramun supplies Calradia and Eastern Europe with galley slaves.

When first approached, the player assumes he is a trader but wonders where his merchandise is. After dropping a few hints, it is made clear that he sells prisoners to ship captains to serve as oarsmen.

Like Ransom Brokers, Ramun buys prisoners, except he also instructs the player on how to efficiently capture them.

Mount&Blade[]

Unlike Ransom Brokers, Ramun almost always resides in Tihr's tavern, in the Kingdom of Nords, or occassionaly in Yalen's, in the Kingdom of Rhodoks. If not at ground level, he is probably upstairs, making him a reliable find.

Like them, he buys all prisoners at a fixed value of 50 denars each.

Mount&Blade: Warband[]

Unlike Ransom Brokers, Ramun almost always resides in Tihr's tavern, in the Kingdom of Nords, or occassionaly in Yalen's, in the Kingdom of Rhodoks. If not at ground level, he is probably upstairs, making him a reliable find.

Also unlike them, he still buys all prisoners at a fixed value of 50 denars each. This allows the player to earn more money from tier-one troops - such as faction recruits, villagers, and bandits - but, with the exception of Camp Followers, results in ever-increasing lost profits when selling tier-two troops and above, especially tier-five elite troops such as Nord Huscarls or Swadian Knights.

Mount&Blade: With Fire & Sword[]

Unlike Ransom Brokers, Ramun almost always resides in Reval's tavern in the Kingdom of Sweden, making him a reliable find.

Due to a probable bug, although he theoretically buys prisoners at a much higher price than theirs (often even mere bandits for over 150 thalers each), he practically pays (around) one-tenth the listed amount: 13 thalers per prisoner. Furthermore, his offered prices are not reflective of the prisoners' level and tier (for example: a Rebel costs Denar 160 while an Armored Cossack costs Denar 51).
