I think in general, the IQ gap between similar price brackets is really small nowadays.

Then again, if we can't argue about minute things, what are we going to do with our spare time?

I remember the 6D2 got so much crap about its IQ and the RP didn't get anything like it even though it has the same sensor. Not saying the RP should get any crap. Just that the argument itself was trash.
