Use of this software on more than one device requires that you first purchase from Dell Wyse additional copies of, or licenses to, the software. New Features General Features: Updated Camera Support - To optimize performance, an option to modify the frame rate per second was added to the Camera tab of the Peripherals dialog box. If the Optimize for CPU check box is selected, supported values include 1/1, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, and 1/6. Additional INI Support For all new and modified INI parameters and options, see the Summary of Revisions in the Administrators Guide: Dell Wyse Xenith TM Release 2.0. Additional Improvements and Enhancements: Mouse Cursor Stability VNC Stability and Performance

WDM Workflow Citrix Note that Citrix Session Reliability is enhanced and Reset by Peer is enhanced. Sticky Key and Mouse Resolved intermittent sticky key and mouse issues. This requires the following configuration: SysMode=Classic/Vdi toolbardisablemouse=yes

7 Release 2.0 Build Updated Information on USB Interface Redirection Feature (Introduced in Build 2.0_215) USB Interface Redirection Support Introduced to separate the USB device redirection with multiple types of components. For example, a user can redirect certain HID controls on USB device without redirecting the whole device. IMPORTANT: ICA HDX USB redirection only. By default this feature is disabled (to enable, use the InterfaceRedirect option of the Device=vusb parameter - see Administrators Guide: Dell Wyse Xenith TM ). Example: A user can keep the USB AUDIO local but redirect the specific HID control on the USB headset (e.g. the Lync button) to the remote connection. NOTE: Before this feature a user must either redirect the whole device for using the specific HID control while the redirected sound quality is worse than when mapped, or map the whole device without the capability using the control. Now a user can utilize the HID control while the headset AUDIO remains mapped with better sound quality. Example: A user can redirect and use specific multimedia controls on a multimedia keyboard that were not usable when the keyboard was mapped (HID controls) over a remote connection while the normal keyboard HID functions remain local with better user experience. Steps to Use the INI to Enable USB Interface Redirection Support Use the following guidelines. After Device=vusb InterfaceRedirect=yes is added in the ini file, by default there is no redirection of HID/USB interfaces and the user must add other INI parameters to enable redirection of the specific interface/hid with the parameter of their Class, Subclass and Protocol. For example: For non-boot non keyboard/mice HID (button of headset and special keys on keyboard/mouse) the solution would look like the following: Device=vusb ForceRedirect=0x0,0x0,0x3,0x0,0x0 It is recommended to use all INI parameters together in 1 line such as the following because every line will update all devices at once: Device=vusb InterfaceRedirect=yes ForceRedirect=0x0,0x0,0x3,0x0,0x0 The 1st and 2nd 0x0 are for PID/VID - since this is not for redirection of any specific device, they remain 0x0. The 3rd 0x3 represents Class. The 4th 0x0 represents Subclass. The 5th 0x0 represents Protocol. Users can add additional interface/hid INIs such as the following: Device=vusb InterfaceRedirect=yes ForceRedirect=0x0,0x0,0x3,0x0,0x0 ForceRedirect=0x0,0x0,0x8,0x0,0x0 Note the following examples regarding the typical values of USB interfaces/hid: Basic Keyboard USB interface description is Class=03, Subclass=01 (boot interface), Protocol=01 (keyboard); Basic Mouse USB interface description is Class=03, Subclass=01 (boot interface), Protocol=02 (mouse) Most of other HID interface description is Class=03, Subclass=00, Protocol=00 Some complicated keyboard/mouse devices have more than 1 USB interface, including boot interface and the 03, 00, 00 HID interface. So the boot interface will

8 4 Chapter 1 remain working with the local driver and the other HID interface will be redirected as a USB device to the remote connection if the above sample INI is configured. In addition, the USB VIDEO and USB AUDIO of some USB Webcams can now be separated. That is, a user can redirect USB VIDEO to a remote connection and keep the USB AUDIO at local for better sound quality. Only Device=vusb InterfaceRedirect=yes must be added for this scenario. Note also that before the USB Interface Redirection support changes were introduced, once a USB device was redirected to a remote connection, it was removed from the Device Viewer (click on the desktop > System Tools > Device Viewer tab); now it will display a WYSE VUSB item (see the following figure). Note it will only leave the item if the whole device is redirected (for example, for a USB headset, if only the HID of the device is redirected while the USB AUDIO of the item is still at local (or the other way around), the WYSE VUSB item will not be generated. Example: To Redirect the HID Control of a USB Headset: 1. In the Global Connection Settings dialog box, select USB devices redirection, select the Exclude audio devices option, and then click OK. 2. Add the following to the INI file: Device=vusb InterfaceRedirect=yes ForceRedirect=0x0,0x0,0x3,0x0,0x0 3. Plug in the USB headset with HID controls - see the following figure as an example of the recognized USB AUDIO and HID items in the Device Viewer (HID item number varies per device).

Note that on the Device Viewer tab the USB AUDIO is still displayed but the HID items are gone - see the following figure as an example. Example: To Redirect the HID Control of a USB Keyboard: 1. Add the following to the INI file: Device=vusb InterfaceRedirect=yes ForceRedirect=0x0,0x0,0x3,0x0,0x0 2. Plug in the USB keyboard with HID controls (e.g. wireless keyboard/mouse) - see the following figure as an example of the recognized HID items in the Device Viewer (HID item number varies per device). 3. Launch the ICA connection with ICA HDX USB redirection enabled. Note that on the Device Viewer tab the basic keyboard/mouse HIDs are still displayed but the special HID item is gone - see the following figure as an example.

10 6 Chapter 1 Example: To Redirect the USB AUDIO and USB VIDEO of a USB Webcam Separately: 1. In the Global Connection Settings dialog box, select USB devices redirection, select the Exclude audio devices option, select the Exclude video devices option, and then click OK. 2. Add the following to the INI file: Device=vusb InterfaceRedirect=yes 3. Plug in the USB Webcam with audio recorder - see the following figure as an example of the recognized USB AUDIO and USB VIDEO items in the Device Viewer. 4. Launch the ICA connection with ICA HDX USB redirection enabled. Note that on the Device Viewer tab the USB AUDIO is still displayed (local) but the USB VIDEO item is gone - see the following figure as an example.

11 Release 2.0 Build Known Issues Camera only displays a black screen after stopping and previewing again. The session's taskbar is hidden by the terminal taskbar when the "Auto-connect on start-up" check box is selected. During a PowerPoint slide show, after going to the next page, the slide is not fully changed. PIN error prompt displays before a user creates a new PIN. JABRA LINK 360 USB Audio redirect output delays in a XenDesktop connection. Autopower remains on a client after an i2d push process. Fixes CIR61881: Need to increase the number of characters in the connection name. CIR74290: Xenith 2 several clients are generating crash dumps. CIR74742: Enhancement request: Configuration via INI file on AD Group-Level. CIR75525: Xenith Pro 2.0_104 - Logitech BCC950 Microphone doesn't function. CIR77418: Could not up/downgrade EC firmware. CIR77491: Imprivata tap out stops functioning after period of time. CIR78183: Xenith 2 gives error when an application is re launched after keeping the device idea of a longer period of time. CIR78461: Xenith 2 2.0_214 While viewing a.wmv file get VDMMN and then a disconnected session. CIR78661: Refresh button is no longer available. CIR78675: In , EnableCacheIni=yes does not function without EnableLocal=yes. CIR78718: Xenith 2 2.0_214 will not timeout if the connect Pub App is offline. CIR78739: Disable Internal Speaker.
