05 Vw Gti 0 Well as the topic states I Just want to know how to remove the chrome looking VW logo on my front grille since I Ordered & received ECS Tunings OEM Euro spec black VW logo and would like to install it

(05 Vw Gti) well you pop the whole emblem out by depressing the tabs it has on three sides....i took a screw driver to it...if you do you have to be careful so you don't scratch things (hint: use a thin one).....imagine the Benz symbol on the car and stick the screwdriver at those points (between emblem and grill) and it should pop out.. next...for separating the emblem from backing: it has many tabs on the back of it...and if you're not worried about them breaking(they're part of the chrome part not the backing), it might just be better to cut them with a pair of diagonal cutters to save yourself the trouble...if not you have to work at it and pry them out, but they may just break anyway...or break the backing! now once it's out, you have the black emblem...if its the same one i have, pretty much all but 3 of the tabs on it don't fit the NA backing, so you have to trim most of the tabs off(again with diagonal cutters) and file them flat if you will. I think if i remember right you're left with 3 tabs that line up perfectly..or maybe a few more...now you can either just pop it on, or put a little bit of epoxy on it for insurance, and then pop it on. Thats if you're worried about it falling off after trimming the tabs..

You will have to remove most the tabs on the back of the emblem on the bottom.
