s21u camera is definitely not the best. It isn't bad, but cannot be the king of smartphone. Sometimes pic not that clear (to my expectation) when I use the demo set leh Ipone camera is more to my taste bc 95% works fine for point and shoot, v sharp which is what I like when my sis send thru WhatsApp or telegram. But it tends to underexposed fr my observation No choice I prefer android. Don't think there is another better android smartphone except s21u le. Maybe you can give ip12max a try as I think you will like the camera and video I've alr gone passed the fans loyalty judgment to fend for any brands as phones become way too expensive with v little upgrades C

With reports of heating while using camera, throttling and average camera quality, it really doesn't sound very diff from exynos S20, except with better battery life. But also downgrade in terms of screen and no micro sd expansion. Can those who've made the switch from S20 to S21 advise how has the experience been and if you think the switch is worth? Z

Day to day use is exaggerated. I did owned a set for half a day. It stays pretty cool for the time I spent setting up & running it. However, cannot compare to iPhone day to day coolness. Heat wise, it seems to dissipate better than iPhone. So if you don’t use much of the camera video or gaming high graphic., then you are quite safe from the heat & throttle. iPhone 11 Pro Max to IPhone 12 Pro Max. Use DBS also heat up like mad already... don’t know DBS got embedded mini flash games inside the DBS app or not. I’m waiting for the next Samsung Exynos chip! N

I didn't use S20 series. But I used N20U before that has the same Exynos 990 like S20 series. I made a switch from N20U to S21U. In short: - S21U camera is better than N20U, less bokeh for short distance object, can do Macro shot (this is amazing), can scan document better now (previously w/ N20U, scanning document always ended up blurry due to short distance). For Zoom shots of course S21U is better. - As for MicroSD, i never use microSD, thumb drive, portable drive, etc. for ages. Nowadays all stored in the cloud liao... no need to worry about sdcard spoilt, lost, etc. Got multiple Terrabytes space with OneDrive, physical card is no longer makes sense these days. Some more we are always on wifi, 4G and 5G now, uploading/ storing to cloud is a breeze! - I missed N20U larger screen and nicer rectangular design though. - Heating up while using camera a lot, yes, this is an issue, but N20U also facing the same issue. I dun like the sharp edges of the N20U, preferred the rounded edge of S21U, more comfortable to hold.

My concern is taking videos of scenery or special moments. thank so much.. V

I don't see any issue for casual photo taking and videos unless you are particular about small heat issue like most phones some ppl says duo makes their phone hot i don't use it ... Last edited: Mar 12, 2021 Prev
