The cone and the low loss rubber surround show no sign of the familiar cone edge resonance and distortion associated with soft cones.H1208 + H1262 + H1189 3-way Passive Crossover Design4-layer, extremely long, high temperature voice coil wound on an aluminium voice coil former gives a high power handling capacity. Phase plug reduces compression due to temperature variations in the voice coil, eliminates resonances that would occur in the volume between the dust cap and the pole piece and increases the power handling capacity. Large magnet system provides reasonably high efficiency and low Q. Extremely stiff and stable injection moulded metal basket keeps the critical components in perfect alignment. Large windows in the basket both above and below the spider reduce sound reflection, air flow noise and cavity resonance to a minimum. Enclosure suggestions:Sealed box 0.40 - 0.50 cubic foot for an F3 of 63Hz, F6 of 46Hz, F10 of 33HzVented box of 0.8 cubic foot with a 2" diameter vent by 8" long for an F3 of 39Hz

Low bass woofer
Reviewed by AlexTF1 on 12/27/2017 This speaker driver is well built, with no noise from bullet plug or vented pole piece even at outrageous high displacement, and the linear Xmax is very large also, even near Fs. So is good for all projects needing a low woofer without needing a sub or a project that benefit from it's honest high Xmax.
