Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway Search Forums Show Threads Show Posts Advanced Search Find All Liked Posts Go to Page... From what I can tell, the CS-HG700 (375g) looks identical only cheaper and slightly heavier. Other than that, is it identical? If so, I'll definitely go the CS-HG700 route and save $40+ since weight doesn't matter on the trainer. But yeah, the only difference is weight. But yeah, the only difference is weight. the 700 cassette has a slightly different cog carrier that holds only the 3 largest cogs and uses a steel lockring. The 800 has 2 cog carriers hold the 5 largest cogs + uses an aluminum lockring. They are also completely interchangeable noodle soup is offline Reply 2 2 Rides4Beer PoorInRichfield noodle soup View Public Profile Find More Posts by noodle soup View iTrader Profile Old 08-31-20 | 04:06 PM #4 PoorInRichfield Thread Starter Senior Member Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 951 Likes: 512 From: Richfield, WI Bikes: Trek Domane SL7 Disc, Cannondale F29 Thanks guys. Sounds like the CS-HG700 is the perfect trainer cassette.
