Warp Hi, I have a set of BR-M445 brakes and they use the B01S type pad. I was wondering if the G-series of brake pads are compatible. I haven't seen both type together in the flesh, but they look fairly similar. Reason? The G-series come in the higher end brakes and I would be lead to believe they are a better pad. If they are incompatible, well, no biggie. I will continue with whatever the brakes come with which is not too bad to start with. Thanks! #1 · Feb 13, 2014 Hi, I have a set of BR-M445 brakes and they use the B01S type pad. I was wondering if the G-series of brake pads are compatible. I'm fairly sure that the tabs are different lengths and you won't get full rotor contact with them used on the wrong brake models. B instead of G = rotor extending past the outer edge of the pad G instead of B = pad material overhanging the outer edge of the rotor Best to stick with the correct pad/caliper combo. B01S = Resin E01S = Metal The E01S is the same size pad as the B01S #3 · Feb 13, 2014

Cheers, Cobba!!! I figured Shimano wouldn't create a new part number just because. I will try the sintered ones if the stock ones prove insufficient. 0 Reply Insert Quotes Post Reply
