The CH07 Shell Lounge Chair by Hans J. Wegner is nothing short of an architectural masterpiece, a design that pushes the boundaries of form and function. Originally unveiled in 1963, this chair’s avant-garde look was ahead of its time, earning mixed reviews from critics and a limited production run. But when Carl Hansen reintroduced the chair in 1998, a new generation quickly embraced its sculptural beauty and exceptional comfort. The chair’s striking, floating lightness is achieved through its wing-like seat and gracefully curved backrest, which are supported by a frame of three elegantly arched legs. This unique structure creates a chair that feels as though it’s suspended in air, offering a visual weightlessness that belies its solid construction. The seat and backrest are crafted from upholstered form-pressed veneer, designed to cradle the body in generous comfort while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic.

Loke Leather: buffed, embossed ox hide with a coated surface
Sif Leather: full grain, pure aniline hide with a naked and natural surface
