Is it true that the vs650 is a bad psu? It's Corsairs bottom of the line PSU, good for simple workstations. The CX series is next in line for higher end workstations than the VS, then the solid mid range TXM and SF and then the high end units Like the RMX, RMI, HX, HXi, and AXI. The recommended units for gaming boxes start with the TXM series as they are higher quality units ment for that purpose. One really has to match the model PSU with the intended use of the computer and specs to see the best results overall. The PSU is THE MOST important part of the computer and the last thing one should ever look at to cut costs. A lot of people have learned the hard way ranging from unstable systems to burned up parts to fires. That said one doesn't have to spend a fortune to get a good solid unit either. Upvote 0 Downvote

I know, we never see many of them except for ITX machines, but they are good units for that. The TXM is the sweet spot between the CX and VS workstation units and the high end units.
