When connecting a headset or any other audio device to a laptops 3.5mm audio jack, it is designed to stop the internal speakers and run only from Headphones.If you mean that even after disconnecting the Headphones the internal speakers are still not working, ensure that the headphone jack does not have anything lodged in it, any metal object can trick the laptop into thinking there are headphones connected, cutting the internal speakers out.Try getting a DRY cotton bud, and clean out the port with that, this will get rid of anything that may be triggering the problem.
