Hi, I have a Hitachi L32H01 32" TV which has developed a power issue, It started with not turning on from standby but switching the main power off and back on solved that, and now when it's the TV's turned on there's no life in it at all, I have replaced the power board (Vestal 17pw20 V1) but that had no change on the situation, Is there any common faults with this unit? or is there any way of testing what the problem could be? Many Thanks

You might need to try to get the schematic and verify all the voltages--note in this kind of situation you need to measure each exactly at turn on in case one is going low or off quickly.The other thing you can do on the larger voltage lines (above say 12vdc) is with the set unplugged check resistance to ground on the chassis and look for any very low resistance readings--i.e. a dead short to ground.Other than this it becomes a game of guess, buy a board and try a board which always leaves the possible result of the panel causing this.Good hunting and if you have questions let me know.
