Jul 14, 2017 2 0 4,510 As title ask.... current spec is as follows... Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4670K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz Installed RAM: 16.0 GB Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Monitor Name: ViewSonic VX2260 Series Monitor Model: VX2260 Series Monitor Id: VSC682B Native Mode: 1920 x 1080(p) (60.000Hz) Power supply is TX650 I am operating on windows 10 I am looking to upgrade to something a bit more midline say a NVidia 1060, 1650, etc. and eventually plan to upgrade my monitor also. I don't need to stick with Nvidia cards if AMD has something comparable. Any suggestions on both would be appreciated. Would like to spend for both somewhere between $600 to $800. I understand what with the chip shortage that may not be possible at the moment. but would give me an idea of where to look and watch for price drops. Thanks for any and all help, Kari Solution I had a system with a 4670k & 780 and before changed the whole system I was finding the cpu more limiting than the gpu. At least when the gpu was limiting FPS I could reduce game settings. While this site is not really any good for comparing gpu’s it was a quick way of finding a comparison between a 780 and 1650. If this site is even roughly right it is not worth it https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-780-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1650/2164vs4039 Sort by date Sort by votes S

May 21, 2021 126 66 170 https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-gtx-1060-6-gb.c2862 This is a good resource to gauge how much better your gpu choices are to your existing gpu. So in your case scroll down to the relative performance section and scroll through all the cards and look at the percentage value for each of your choices. I’ve made it so a gtx 1060 is at 100% performance and thus your gtx 780 comes in at 76%. A gtx 1650 comes in at 78% so not a good upgrade at all. I’d say gtx 1060 at minimum to upgrade but realistically I would buy the 1660 117% or 1660 super 132% if you want to stick with Nvidia. If you are okay with AMD then you can’t beat the price or performance of a 5600xt 154%.
