RPPreacher🇺🇸RASDIAL does not connect VPN I have a VPN connection in Microsoft Windows XP called VPN.  It is set to store a username and password.  When I double clicks the VPN connection in Network Connections, it connects. When I attempt to use RASDIAL from the command line, I get Verifying username and password... Remote Access error 691 - Access was denied because the username and/or password  was invalid on the domain. For more help on this error:         Type 'hh netcfg.chm'         In help, click Troubleshooting, then Error Messages, then 691 I thought maybe the RASDIAL could not pick up the stored username and password, so I tried RASDIAL VPN USERNAME PASSWORD (assuming my username is USERNAME and my password is PASSWORD) Same error. Ideas?

I am referring to a specific issue with RASDIAL command line function, not anything mentioned in the link. koudry🇬🇧 OK, have you tried the help command from the DOS prompt? This gives the format of the command as follows: C:\>rasdial/? I had setup this to auto connect a VPN tunnel from powershell command line.  Windows 10 won't read the username / password no matter what you try. I changed the VPN to use EAP with the "Windows Username"  I then just needed the VPN Username to Match the same username I was logged in as. The VPN no longer needs a username and password - thus the rasdial.exe MYVPN will now work again.
