Dang Chi Lieu is a partner based in the Firm’s Hanoi office. His main practice focuses primarily on mergers & acquisitions, particularly within the energy, mining and infrastructure sectors. As a transactional lawyer, Chi Lieu acts for various clients on investment into power, energy and infrastructure projects in Vietnam by way of both greenfield development and mergers and acquisitions. He advises clients on deal structuring, due diligence, contract drafting, negotiation, and provides day-to-day advice on project operation matters. In addition, Chi Lieu has extensive experience in developing the legal framework on power, energy and infrastructure areas in Vietnam, including the development of the legal framework for renewable energy in the country by providing technical assistance to the Government and relevant stakeholders. Mr. Dang graduated magna cum laude with an LLM from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (2008). Prior to obtaining his LLM, he received his Bachelor of Laws from Hanoi Law University (2001) and Bachelor of Arts in English from Hanoi Foreign Studies University (2002).
