Task 1: Tim's class is going on a boat trip on Lake Michigan in Chicago. Read the information about some of the participants.

Task 2: Work in groups. Read the seat plan. Decide the best seat for each person, using the information in Task 1. Conduct a conversation like litis:

• B : OK. Seat 37 would be better.
• A : That’s fine for them both.
• c : I think Tim should seat in section c.
• D : OK. Put him in seat 1 or 9.
• C : That's a good idea because there he can enjoy the sunshine and fresh air.
• E : I think Mrs Andrews should sit in section A.
• F : Yes. Put her in seat 43.
• E : No.I think it’s not a good scat because she needs to sec all the students.
• F : OK. Seat 46 would he better.

Task 3: Work in pairs. Which seat do you think is the most suitable for you? Whyy? Use the information in Task 1 as suggestions.

I think Seat 4 or 5 is the most suitable for me because I’ve never been a boat before. So I want to have a good view on the both sides.

I think seat 16 is the most suitable for me because I don't like hot weather.

I think seat 46 is sutable for me because I like to wath people and the whole boat.
