Product Description

If you want to make a touch up work on your AUDI / VOLKSWAGEN GOLF GTD to make it looks like brand new again, you can choose our metallic paint. VerniciSpray carefully produces every color based on the original car color, this way you will be able to paint your car just like in the body shop.

All our metallic and pearlescent car paints are produced with digital tinting machine to ensure the best match possible with your metallic color 1k carbon steel grey met. The paints are produced by the tintometer on request, based on your specific color code.

You can locate the color code of your AUDI / VOLKSWAGEN GOLF GTD in an adhesive or metal plate inside the car.

If you have any doubts about the color code of your vehicle, you can use the color search panels on the web site or contact our customer service to help you find the original color code before ordering it.

Our metallic paint is double-coat, which means it has a matte base and must be finished with a glossy clear coat. The final car color will be the same as the original only if you apply a protective clear coat on top of the paint.

Suggestions:

• Small color differences are possible, always blend the touch-up and do not create sharp color breaks with the old paint. You can apply our blend to help you with shades.
• Use spray can paint at a temperature of approximately 20�C, never below 15�C, with humidity not exceeding 50%.
• Be careful that the car paint or clear-coat soaks the surface sufficiently, otherwise the risk is that it does not stretch well. If that happen it may leaves the paint dust on the surface or create creates the classic orange peel effect.

Instructions for Use:

For a perfect car touch up clean the surface properly before painting it. We recommend our anti-silicone spray cleaner

Shake the spray paint for a few minutes before using it. The temperature of the spray can must be approximately 20�/25�C.

Spray the product on the surface in a uniform way, in thin layers, to prevent drips. Also avoid excessive distance.

Apply 2-3 layers and, between one and other, wait for the paint to dull. As soon as the given coat of paint has become matte, wait 5 minutes and then proceed with the following layer of color.

For a professional result, we recommend the two-component 2K clear coat. if, however, you have to make small adjustments or take some scratches on the bodywork, you can choose our mono-component 1K clear coat. (For more information on our clear coats go to our guide.)

If you want to paint more easily, use the universal handle for spray cans, and the application of your car metallic paint will be perfect.

How are these paints produced?

Our paints are all produced with a specific color analyzer, an innovating digital tinting machine. Such tintometer is used to replicate the exact match of the original color of your car.

Raw materials are selected based on sustainability and the latest environmental impact criteria. Gas, specifically, is not an oil-based product but is obtained by the fermentation of pure organic waste materials. It is certified to 99%.

What should be the main properties of metallic car paints?

The main physical characteristics of a good metallic paint are: high coverage and good adhesion.

High coverageCar paints need to be highly covering for a simple reason: being able to reach a good color cover with only a few coats of paint helps to avoid unpleasant steps between the new color applied and the old one.

AdhesionMetallic paints must also anchor well (after sanding a little bit and cleaning), because they must be able to support the clear coat (required). We can apply a mono-component clear coat or bi-component one (best option).

Which clear coat can I use? I can apply any kind of clear coat?

Every clear coat on our website is fully compatible with paints we produce. If you already have a clear coat from another manufacturer, we recommend to test it before application, because some may not be compatible.

We recommend for major repairs the two-component clear coat (2K), high gloss and high solid. For small repairs we recommend the one component (1K), as the 2k, once activated, after 24-48 h can no longer be used.

What is the difference between two-component and one-component clear coat?

Protective clear coats are divided into two main categories: one-component and two-component clear coat. The main difference lies in how they are hardened, in other words, in the way they will dry once applied on the paint. Single-component clear coats are ready to use, while two-component clear coats require for the base and a catalyst to be mixed before application.

One component clear coat Composition : it has within the spray can/jar all the necessary components to form the film that will make the product dry.

Drying : it hardens simply by evaporation of the solvent.

Pro : it's easy to use, ideal for small car touch up jobs and the product that is not used can be preserved over time.

Cons : is less resistant to chemical and mechanical agents than bi-component clear coat, it last less and has a tendency to fade or yellow over the years.

Two component clear coatComposition : It requires a special type of cans that has a container isolated inside the spray itself. Such container is filled with hardener and can be activated at the time of use. In the jar, the mixture of the two components is divided as follows: a base (pigments and resin) and a hardener (hardener).

Drying : It hardens through a chemical reaction between the two components and forms a very resistant film.

Pros : It is highly resistant to scratches, chemical agents and mechanical stress. It last longer, over time, then a 1K clear coat. It has a better aesthetic result on the car touch up job.

Cons : It is more expensive, because it requires special spray cans. It has longer drying times and the instruments used to paint, need to be cleaned thoroughly.

Finally, two-component clear coats are recommended for jobs that require high strength and that need to last a longer over time, while one-component clear coats are more suitable for quick and easy applications.

Ho acquistato questo prodotto con tantissimi dubbi, ma sono stato seguito sin dall'inizio, alla ricerca del colore giusto. Dopo diversi mesi mi decido di ritoccare l'auto, prima ho pensato di ritoccare a pennellino, spuzzando il colore in un tappo e poi cercare di coprire i graffi dell'auto. Il colore usciva scuro, ho subito contattato l'assistenza pensando ci fossero errori, anche se fossero passati diversi mesi sono stati cordiali e si sono attivati per verificare se ci fossero delle varianti, alla file ho ritoccato l'auto direttamente con bomboletta il colore era identico. Fantastici nell'assistenza!
