AC Milan trails city rival Inter by 8 points in Serie A title race after losing to Lazio

AC Milan has lost ground in the race for the Serie A title after a 1-0 defeat at Lazio left it eight points behind leader Inter Milan 2 DAYS AGO • Associated Press Not fielded against Juventus El Shaarawy (Achilles) was an unused sub in Sunday's 3-3 draw versus Juventus. Impact El Shaarawy recovered from a lingering injury that sidelined him for two months, but he wasn't inserted in this one. He faces more competition than the last time he was healthy since Roma added Bryan Zaragoza and Robinio Vaz in January and Kostas Tsimikas and Angelino have gotten healthy. MARCH 3 • ROTOWIRE Joins bench El Shaarawy (achilles) is on the bench for Sunday's match against Juventus. Impact El Shaaraway was likely to be an option this week after ramping up training, with the attacker fit enough to earn a bench spot. With only three starts in 13 appearances this season, a rotational role is likely to stick, with two assists this season but no goals.
