Ms. Nguyen joined the Scientific User Facilities Division of the Office of Basic Energy Sciences (BES) in July 2008. Prior to joining BES, Ms. Nguyen was the director of the Office of Science’s Environment, Safety and Health Division.
In 2004, Ms. Nguyen served a one-year detail as senior advisor to the Office of Science’s Chief Operations Officer. From 1990-1999, she held general engineering positions at DOE first with the Office of Defense Programs’ Office of Nuclear Materials Production and Office of Engineering and Operations Support, and later with the Office of Energy Research. From 1985 to 1990, Ms. Nguyen worked for an engineering consulting firm as a Chemical Engineer.
