Suzuki GS150 Vs. Honda CB 125 F Vs. Yamaha YBR 125-G
The bike industry in Pakistan is the most neglected and deregulated auto industry. A few years back, you could only imagine boring decades-old designs and outdated technology bikes. That’s not the case now. With the new entrants and models, there are plenty to choose from. This sometimes makes the process of choosing the best bike harder, not simpler.
Latest: Honda 125 Price in Pakistan 2025, Specs, Changes, Pictures, and Comparisons
Today we are comparing Suzuki GS150, CB 125 F and Yamaha YBR 125-G. This is especially written for those who are interested in knowing the best touring bike amongst these three.
Look and Feel
Design is one of the most important considerations when buying a bike. And this is where things start to get interesting. Suzuki GS150 is still rolling with the old conventional family bike look. There is no innovation in any way in terms of design. However, there were minor changes in the special edition of GS150, including alloy rims and disc brakes.

Honda CB125 is a special one. It’s a hybrid of CG125 and CB150. The design of this bike is sporty and practical. A sporty style fuel tank, speedometer along with meter visor and chrome garnish on silencer. Its tail and the general look of its rear makes it feel sportier.

The looks are the prime reason for it being so hot among youngsters. The elevated front fender, beautiful meter cluster with loads of information, stylish air scoops attached on the raised fuel tank and the seat with grooves in it. The design of this bike is unmatched by any local bike.

Engine and Performance
Suzuki GS 150 has the most power out of the three generating around 12hp from a 145cc engine. GS 150 comes with 5-gear constant mesh transmission which also means this bike is more suitable on long routes due to higher gears and smooth riding experience. It has a dry weight of 114 kg which means it has a great power to weight ratio. And this is why this bike is so successful for tutoring, it can deliver you power whenever you need it. Higher engine power means it has higher initial torque which is a must when touring northern areas.

Honda CB125 uses the same engine and exhaust as in CG 125. And people love that engine and sound. However, it weighs more at about 122kg making it feel underpowered. This 125cc engine is coupled with a 5-speed gear configuration which lowers the rpm of the bike and increases fuel efficiency.

Yamaha YBR 125-G uses a 125cc engine coupled with a 5-speed gear system. This bike weighs 113 kg which is the least on this list. It uses an advanced engine and butterfly carburettor to deliver an impressive fuel economy of around 45 km/L. However, this bike also feels underpowered on steep roads but not as much as CB 125.
Seating Comfort
The GS150 is one of the most comfortable rides in its class. Suzuki has used excellent shock absorbers, comfortable and wide seats with the GS150. However, the seat is sloppy and slippery, which creates discomfort when applying brakes.

Considering CG 125, CB125 is a major upgrade in seating comfort. Apart from seats the seating position and soft shock absorbers make it a comfortable ride when going up north.
Yamaha YBR 125-G has a remarkable riding comfort and seating position. The elevated fuel tank and the grooves in the seat, help you ride this machine comfortably. If there is one thing that this bike is known for, it has to be the comfort and driving experience. This bike rivals GS 150 in terms of comfort and riding pleasure.
Ground Clearance
Touring cannot be completed without some rough terrains and off-road patches. Having good ground clearance is a must. GS 150 has a ground clearance of 155mm, that’s the highest in the lot. Honda CB 125F has a ground clearance of 120mm which is the lowest of the three but still decent. Yamaha has a ground clearance of 145mm making it optimal for all kinds of off-road and urban roads.

Fuel Economy
Fuel economy is one of the biggest considerations whenever buying a new ride. GS 150 despite its higher engine displacement delivers an impressive fuel economy of around 40 Km/L with a fuel tank capacity of 12L. Considering the excellent riding comfort and overall feel of the bike, this is a complete package if you can live with its odd and outdated shape.

CB125 is an overweight bike, and that’s why it fails to provide an optimal fuel average in its category. This bike has a fuel tank capacity of 12.3L and it delivers a fuel economy of around 30 km/L, which is unacceptable considering ever-rising fuel prices.
Yamaha YBR 125-G has excellent fuel average – 40-45 km/L, the highest on the list with a fuel tank capacity of 13L. Yamaha uses butterfly carburetor technology, which ensures maximum fuel average in the given conditions.
Price
So you know what bike fancy you the most, and you are waiting to know the prices of these three touring bikes. Here below you can see the prices of these bikes.

Like all vehicles in Pakistan, these bikes are also exuberantly overpriced. Yamaha has recently increased the price of YBR 125G in Pakistan, and we are expecting others to follow. You can find some used options for Suzuki GS 150, Yamaha YBR 125G, and Honda CB 125F.

Otherwise you should go with Yamaha YBR 125-G as it has superior looks, fuel average and comfort that’s at par with GS 150. Honda CB125 isn’t very practical in terms of fuel average and engine performance.
