Three-time League of Legends world champion team T1 – led by esports star Faker – became K-pop global sensation BTS’ first guest in its variety show ‘Run BTS’ on Tuesday, November 3.

T1, composed of Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, Park “Teddy” Jin-sung, Lee “Effort” Sang-ho, Mun “Cuzz” Uchan, and Kim “Canna” Chang-dong, will be featured with BTS in the show’s episodes 114 and 115 that are being streamed on the V LIVE app on Tuesdays.

“It was quite an experience and honor to be the first official guests on ‘Run BTS!,’ especially being able to meet them in person and share each other’s interests,” said T1 mid laner and co-owner Faker in a statement.

“It might have been a short time, but it was awesome for us as some of the cultural leaders of Korea to come together and hopefully we can meet the group again in the near future.”

In the first episode of their collaboration, they participated in icebreakers and teamed up with one another to play games related to their respective craft.

In an interview with Yahoo Esports in 2017, BTS’ visual Jin and leader RM said that they were fans of T1 and Faker, considered to be the best League of Legends player of all time.

T1’s Effort, on the other hand, is part of the BTS ARMY and his blue hair is inspired by BTS’ V.

The esports organization holds the record for most titles in League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) with 9 championships.

BTS is the first all-Korean group to top the Billboard singles chart with its English-language single Dynamite hitting No.1 for the first time last September 1, Manila time.
