Tai Nguyen is the Chief Executive Officer of BW Solar. He has over 18 years of experience in the renewable energy industry and has experience in engineering, government, international finance, and development in both listed and private businesses. He has lived and worked throughout the world and has completed transactions in Canada, the USA, and Asia.

Prior to BW Solar, Tai worked as an investment banker with Bank of American Merrill Lynch in their Power and Renewables Investment Banking team. He also worked at BNP Paribas’ Power Project Finance team. He has developed and financed some of the first renewable energy projects in both North America and Asia. Tai was most recently Chief Investment Officer at another Canadian IPP where he had oversight for all investment decisions of the firm. Alongside his responsibilities as CIO, he also led the Strategic Financing team, oversaw all capital raising, and led the Business Development team.

Tai holds a Bachelors of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and a Masters in Global Finance at the NYU Stern School of Business.
