1.1 What do you do in your free time/leisure time?

I genuinely believe so, because having hobbies helps me have a better work-life balance. I can relieve my stress after work by listening to a good song or doing some exercises.

I would like to try playing a musical instrument in the future, maybe guitar or piano. I always think people who can play it look pretty cool, and I also love music a lot. Maybe playing guitar is a better and more practical choice, because it’s affordable.

2. Bố cục bài Talk About Your Leisure Activities

Trong những dạng đề như thế này, chúng ta thường chỉ đơn giản là trả lời từng câu hỏi trong cue card. Tuy nhiên các câu trả lời cần dài ra bằng cách cần thêm thắt khoảng hai hoặc ba chi tiết để toàn bộ bài nói có thể kéo dài đến 2 phút.

Cách trình bày sẽ được chia làm 3 phần:

• Mở bài: Mở bài bằng một câu ngắn gọn nhưng vẫn giúp người nghe bắt đầu tập trung nghe mình trình bày: “OK so now I would like to start talking about one of my favorite free-time activities”.

• Kết bài: Bắt đầu trả lời lần lượt từng câu hỏi trong cue card từ trên xuống dưới, mỗi câu hỏi sẽ được kéo dài ra bằng các bước: Trả lời câu hỏi từ 2 hoặc 3 chi tiết để làm rõ cho câu trả lời.Ví dụ: I like to listen to music in my free time. As I am afraid I may annoy other family members with loud music, I only plug in the earphones and enjoy the songs in my own room.

• Kết bài: Kết bài bằng một câu ngắn gọn để người nghe biết rằng bài nói đã hết: “So that’s all I would like to share with you today. Thank you for your listening”

3. Bài mẫu Talk About Your Leisure Activities – IELTS speaking part 2

Part 2: Talk about one of your leisure activities. You should say:– What it is?– How often do you do it?– Where you do it?– And explain why you like to do it.

3.1. Bài mẫu Talk About Your Leisure Activities – band 5.0+

One of my pastimes (trò giải trí) is to go to the gym. It is what I love to do the most. You know all my friends love to do it and so do I.

I always go to the gym after work, six days a week. I mean I will take a day off on Sunday to recover the muscles (cơ bắp). The other days I will spend around 1 hour per day working out.

The gym is not far from my office, which is only 10 minutes away by motorbike so I think it is quite convenient for me.

I really love working out at the gym because I need to do something to relax after work. In my work, I sometimes have too much work to do. A gym is a great place for me to release all my pressure (áp lực) and stress after long working hours. More than that, I have made a lot of new friends who share the same interest as me. Those are the reasons why I choose the gym to be my favorite thing to do.

3.2. Bài mẫu Talk About Your Leisure Activities – band 6.5+

So now I would like to tell you about one of my leisure activities which is going to the gym. You know all my friends love hitting the gym after work and they have inspired (truyền cảm hứng) me to follow them too.

Actually, I never miss a day at the gym. I mean I always go there after work except (ngoại trừ) for Sunday, when I need to rest so that my muscles have time to recover. Normally I will spend around 1 hour per day if my schedule is tight (dày đặc).

The gym I go to is not far from my office, which is only 10 minutes away by motorbike. This is such an ideal distance (khoảng cách lý tưởng) because I can make the best use of my time at the gym.

Gymming is what I really love to do because after work I need to do something to unwind (thư giãn). In the office, I am sometimes overworked (làm việc quá sức) and stressed. Hitting the gym is a great chance for me to release all the negative (tiêu cực) feelings after long working hours. What’s more? I have made a lot of new friends who share the same interest as me since I started being at the gym every day. Those are the reasons why I choose the gym to be my favorite thing to do.

3.3. Bài mẫu Talk About Your Leisure Activities – band 8.0+

OK so now it is a pleasure to share with you one of my pastimes which I enjoy doing. It is to work out at the gym. You know, all my friends love to do it and I am no exception as I was inspired by them after hearing them nagging me a lot.

Honestly speaking, I am proud to say that I have never skipped a day at the gym. I mean I always go there after work except for Sunday, when I need to rest so that my muscles have time to recover (hồi phục). Normally I will spend around 1 hour per day if my schedule is tight, but when I am snowed under deadlines and assignments, I will only do the warm-up or quick cardio exercises for 30 minutes and leave.

The gym I go to is not too far from my office, which is only 10 minutes away by motorbike. You see, this is such an ideal distance because I can make the best use of my time at the gym without any struggle in traffic jams (tắc đường). 

Gymming is what I really love to invest my time in because after work I need to do something to unwind. In the office, I am sometimes overworked and stressed, which is upsetting (khó chịu). Hitting the gym is a great chance for me to release all those negative feelings after long working hours. But on top of that, I have made a lot of new friends who share the same cup of tea with me since I started frequenting the gym every day. In conclusion, those are the reasons why I choose gym to be my favorite thing to do and I wish I will still have the passion for this hobby for a long time.
