Two of the hottest Drivers of the year from two of the hottest golf manufacturers. These two drivers in particular have gotten a ton of attention and are both worthy of consideration if you are considering dipping in for a new driver this year.

Taylormade Sim 2 Driver Overview

We must admit that the Sim 2 Driver looks somewhat like the racing car of golf clubs with all the technology they have managed to pack in.

The drivers come in three different versions and the clubs have gotten a complete redesign from the incredibly popular and effective sim range.

These clubs come in 3 versions, the Sim for Mid to High Handicappers, the Sim Max for Mid To High Handicappers and the Sim Max D For Slicers and beginners.

Some Of the technolgy includes forged ring construction, speed inject twist face, Speed Pocket Thru Slot, Sim Inertia Generator and Split Mass Weighting.

Ping G425 Drivers Overview

The Ping G425 driver range is more understated in nature without the flashy colors and stand out features of the Sim 2, but it is equally revered in the golfing world as one of golfs highest performing golf drivers.

The G425 is the upgrade on the G410 and it also comes in 3 different versions, the LST for Low To Mid Handicappers, the Max for Mid To High Handicappers and the SFT for beginners and slicers.

You get plenty of options for adjusting the weight with the G425 driver and if you call to your local pro, they should be able to set it up to play exactly the way you want to.

The G425 comes in an aerodynamic shape with internal ribbing for a higher MOI and the face is ultra thin for distance.

This driver is incredible consistent and it is probably the best feeling driver on the market today.

Both of these drivers are premium in terms of performance, accuracy, consistency and distance. If you want to get more distance, go with the Sim 2 and if you want more feel and consistency the G425 is excellent.
