EC50(50% Effective Concentration)：Effective Concentration 50

The median effective concentration (EC50) is the concentration of a substance in an environmental medium expected to produce a certain effect in 50% of test organisms (usually planktonic crustacean Daphnia) in a given population under a defined set of conditions. The Lethal Concentration 50 (LC50) is the concentration of a substance in water causing a death (50% of the tested population) to aquatic life. The EC50 and the LC50 are often used in ecotoxicology as an indicator of the toxicity of a compound to the environment.
