Talking about Vijay's next, Master is one of the most anticipated films of this year. It has been produced by Xavier Britto under the banner XB Film Creators. Master will mark the first-ever collaboration between Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi with the latter playing the main antagonist. The movie also stars Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Andrea Jeremiah in key roles.

The movie was scheduled to hit the screens in April but the release was stalled due to the nationwide lockdown. There were a few reports that the movie will head for a direct-to-web release, but the rumours were refuted by the makers.
