Norireal N Does anyone in this forum , that owns a c200 or c220 cdi diesel know the difference between these two type of engines . I have a europe version of car made for germany the decoder says its a M611 R4-DIESEL ENGINE OM611 with a M22 DISPLACEMENT 2.2 LITER , but the vin number says its a c200 dosent make sense. It says M002 ENGINES WITH EXH.TURBOCHARGER WITH INTERCOOLER so most likely the c200 with intercooler are the the ones with 115 horse power. So i got scammed or what even is going on , my car year production is 04/2003. I have the car spec in my country lang , says its a c220 as well .As u can see on the photo with my real life car papers , the weight is 1985 - 1505 , so how much horse power does this car have ? Can someone help me so i can clear my mind from all this non sense thing :( :( :( :( #1 · May 22, 2017 Does anyone in this forum , that owns a c200 or c220 cdi diesel know the difference between these two type of engines . The difference between a c200 and c220 is the C200 is single turbo, c220 is twin turbo. I have the C200 CDI which has the same 2.2 diesel engine although i believe the c200 is 122bhp, the 220 is like 179bhp or thereabouts. What i did was buy a c200 and remap it. It puts out similair power/bhp and costs less on insurance. Although having a twin turbo utilises the power better. Hopefully someone can clarify this or tell me i am speaking out of my exhaust pipe! #3 · Aug 5, 2018 I dont know how it is possible for a car to be registered incorrectly. Maybe the engine have been changed. Your VIN number says it is a C200 CDI not a C220 CDI. As for the difference between models, from 2000-2004 both C200 and C220 have the same engine, single turbo, and basically are the same except on power delivery and electronics that controll this aspect. The OM611 4-cylinder diesel engine, C200 CDI has 115hp while C220 CDI 143hp. Later models, 2000-2007, moved to OM646 4-cylinder diesel engine with increased horsepower. A 2004 facelifted C200 CDI makes 122hp while C220 150hp. #4 · Aug 5, 2018 Here is the data card from EPC for the OP's car: http://benzbits.com/datacard/WDB2030041A534031.pdf MBZ's badging and engine size do not always match. Just because the car has a 2.2 liter engine (like this one) does not mean it will be badged as a "C220". There are plenty examples of this over the years, like the xx230 having a 1.8l supercharged I4, or the xx240 being a 2.6l V6, the xx280 being a 3.0l V6. And don't even get me started on the current "400" and "550" and "63" models that have nothing to do with engine size. As for the OP's "incorrect" registration, he is in Albania and it appears that his papers are "hand typed". it is entirely possible that the clerk who registered the car saw "2.2l" and just "assumed" it was a C220. #5 · Aug 5, 2018 Factory 20” wheels in 2003? Sixto 98 E320s sedan and wagon 02 C320 wagon #6 · Aug 6, 2018 AFAIK, there were never any factory 20" wheels for the W203. I think 18" was the largest factory/OE option. #7 · Aug 6, 2018 Recycled option code? Maybe it meant something else in 2000s then more recently means 20” AMG wheels. EPC has only one description per code depending on EPC version. I have copies of the dealer presentation guides which show what options were available and it only lists 18" rims as the largest option. Insert Quotes Post Reply
