XFX Seeks the Next Gaming Superstars

Mountain View, CA, August 14, 2007-iGames, the world's leading game center organization, today announced that it would be hosting the first phase of The XFX Challenge, which is the XFX $10K Counter-Strike Source Qualifier, Saturday and Sunday, September 8-9.

As a preliminary tournament for The XFX Challenge - which in later rounds will allow gamers with winning skills and winning personality to tour the country as part of The XFX Team, as well as win cash and prizes including a high-end gaming rig - the XFX $10K Counter-Strike: Source Qualifier will be a two-day event held at 8 iGames member locations across the US, offering $5,000 in cash and $5,000 in XFX and NVIDIA prizes.

Participating centers include:

Euphnet v3 - San Jose, CA

Howie's Game Shack - Mission Viejo, CA

CyGamZ - Ypsilanti, MI (near Detroit)

Xtreme Gaming Cybercafe - San Antonio, TX

CyberConXion - Wayne, NJ (near NYC)

Gigabits LAN - Orlando, FL

Net Heads - Indianapolis, IN

GameFrog - Charlotte, NC

Teams of 5 players will compete for the cash and prizes, and for the opportunity to advance to Phase 2 of The XFX Challenge.

Saturday will be a Double-Elimination LAN tournament with a maximum of 8 teams at each of 8 participating centers (64-team maximum). The 8 winners from each center's LAN tournaments will advance to Sunday, which is a WAN (online) Double-Elimination tournament against other LAN winners. The WAN portion of the Tournament will be run in conjunction with CEVO.
