The C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was quite a beast when it was first unveiled, pumping out no less than 650 hp and 650 lb-ft from its 6.2-liter supercharged V8. However, this particular C7 Z06 is far from stock.

For starters, the standard engine has been replaced with a 7.0-liter LS V8 built by Borowski that has bespoke pistons, a new crankshaft and connecting rods, upgraded Bosch fuel injectors, and a huge 94 mm Precision turbocharger.

Accompanying the custom-built engine is an all-new transmission from Samsonas that has a quad-plate (yes, quad) carbon clutch, and a Wavetrac differential. The car is currently pumping out 1,800 hp through the rear wheels and the owner recently headed out onto the street in the car with That Racing Channel.

The owner built the car for rolling drag races and can drive it in one of many different boost settings. In its tamest setting running 16 pounds of boost, the car pumps out approximately 1,200 hp. When that is increased to 20 psi, horsepower jumps to 1,275 hp and in the 24 psi setting, it is good for 1,400 hp. When the car is fueled with C16 race fuel, the Motec ECU increases boost to 40 psi, resulting in the aforementioned 1,800 hp.

As you would imagine, driving the car on the street is a pretty phenomenal experience and not for the faint-hearted.
