Nhiệm vụ chính của trường là dạy học cho học sinh THPT của 8 xã phía nam của huyện và một số xã phụ cận khác. Năm 2009-2010, tổng số cán bộ, giáo viên, nhân viên nhà trường là 99 đồng chí, trong đó 56 nữ và chia ra thành 7 tổ chuyên môn và 1 tổ hành chính. Chi bộ nhà trường có 25 đảng viên (có 8 đồng chí là nữ). Nhà trường có 40 lớp với 1648 học sinh, trong đó có 15 lớp 10 với 662 học sinh, 13 lớp 11 với 485 học sinh và 12 lớp 12 với 501 học sinh. Toàn trường học một ban là ban cơ bản, nâng cao 3 môn Văn, Toán, Ngoại ngữ. Trường THPT Chương Mỹ B được xây dựng trên khuôn viên 16.139 m2 với 3 dãy nhà. Nhà A là khu hiệu bộ, nhà B là khu học văn hóa, nhà C là khu chức năng với 1 phòng thí nghiệm Vật lý, 1 phòng thí nghiệm Hóa học, 1 phòng thí nghiệm Sinh học, 1 phòng thư viện, 2 phòng học máy tính (có 52 máy đã kết nối Internet) và 2 phòng học đa năng có trang bị máy chiếu, ti vi, đầu video. Ngoài ra trường còn 2 máy chiếu lưu động phục vụ cho công tác hội họp, hội thảo cho thầy và trò. Hiện nay Trường THPT Chương Mỹ B đã được 27 năm. Trải qua 27 năm thành lập và phát triển, nhà trường đã có được những thành tích nhất định. Chất lượng giáo dục ngày càng tiến bộ, tuy nhiên đây là khu vực có nền kinh tế thấp nhất huyện đồng thời cũng có trình độ dân trí yếu học sinh không ham học, cha mẹ học sinh thiếu sự quan tâm cần thiết cho con cái do vậy chất lượng toàn diện cũng thấp nhất so với các trường THPT khác trong huyện. Mặc dù vậy, riêng năm học 2007-2008 trường không đạt tiên tiến nhưng các năm còn lại liên tục đạt danh hiệu trường tiên tiến, chi bộ luôn đạt là chi bộ trong sạch vững mạnh. Năm 2009 Nhà trường được UBND huyện tặng danh hiệu đơn vị đạt tiêu chuẩn cơ quan văn hóa. • twilight_cmht his is the high school in Chuong My district where I studied and had a bad memory. The school is located near the main road at Nguon village. It looks lovely with two buildings - a big building for teaching and a small one for the staff, and some tiled houses. There are some big trees in the school yard tiled with beton. ¶ My first supervisor was Miss Nga when I was studying at 10th grade. She was a new teacher at my school, who had just finished university. She looked beautiful, lovely and was very kind to her pupils, ofcouse, to me, too. My teacher of maths was Miss Tính; she had also graduated for a short time before and was new, too. She treated me well. English was taught by Mr Hanh, who we called “Hanh hâm” coz he was sometimes “hâm” (crazy). ¶ I got a transfer of class when the new school year came the following year. There I had nice time (?) with the pupils of that class. I rarely spent time with them. I spent all time on studying, I love studying. I was very very poor. I didn't believe and didn't expect anyone to treat me well because I'd had some relevant lessons before: People who I saw as friends just took advantage of me instead of being honest to me or treating me well. I therefore always kept them at a distance. But I always wished them best things, good result in learning and I didn't tell this to anyone, though I saw them as my friends. I've just learnt the other relevant lesson from them: I was wrong to have seen them as friends because they've shown me their jealousy of my success and made a jest of my affection which I had for them. This has been making me hurt a lot up to now, and unlikely to believe in other people. Now I understand that they weren't my friends and they were just the people, with whom I studied for a few years. Now I don't want to think of them any more, I just want to put them all behind me. In spite of this bad memory, I still love the school very much. Most teachers are good, I love them. ¶ My second and last supervisor is Mr Minh, who teaches physics. He's a thin, not tall man, but a good teacher. ¶ If you have never been to my school, I hope you’ll be there someday and you’ll find it lovely. In summer, when it heats up, sitting inside the classroom, you can still hear cicadas buzzing loudly. Their buzz may make you headachy, but you’ll miss that buzz after graduating. You may enjoy the red colour of flamboyant in my school in summer, too. Flamboyant buds from April to June, which depends on area where it grows up. The budding season of flamboyant signals the goodbye saying moment and you’ll have vacation for some months. You may miss the school, teachers, and friends. However, after the vacation all of pupils have to gather for the next new school year and you’ll meet them. If you are at the last grade, it means that you don’t have to gather, I’m sure you must miss the school, the teachers and your friends a lot for the first or a few years after leaving school, which I did.
