UFC 4 is a very comprehensive video game version of the real-life fighting competition. With many fighters available all with their own fighting styles and moves, players have a great amount of versatility over the way they choose to fight opponents either offline or online. Combinations have been a staple aspect since even the days of the best PS2 fighting games, and UFC 4 is no different.

Muay Thai is one of the most common martial arts in the world, and it's not hard to see why. A fighting style that allows fighters to use elbows and knees, it opens up many more posibilities for players when they are playing on UFC 4 with a capable Muay Thai fighter. Players can learn the best Muay Thai combinations in UFC 4 to ensure their success and deal devastating amounts of damage to their opponents.

6 Jab > Hook > Lead Body Roundhouse

A Jab, Hook, Lead Body Roundhouse Muay Thai combination on UFC 4.

PlayStation Input

Square, L1 + Triangle, L2 + Cross

Xbox Input

X, LB + Y, A

This Jab, Hook, and Lead Body Roundhouse combo is pretty easy to learn and can be considered one of the staple Muay Thai combinations that fighters should use. With the first two steps of the combination dealing head damage to the opponent, the Lead Body Roundhouse to finish off will most times be unlocked against opponents who will be led into believing another head shot is coming.

Since it only has three steps with a basic Jab attack at the beginning, players will be able to learn this combination fairly easily if they spend a few minutes in Practice Mode. This combination can rival even the best UFC punching combinations.

5 Jab > Straight > Lead Hook > Leg Kick

A Jab, Straight, Lead Hook, Leg Kick Muay Thai combination on UFC 4.

PlayStation Input

Square, Triangle, L1 + Square, Circle held down

Xbox Input

X, Y, LB + X, B

This Muay Thai combination does a mixture of head and body damage, with a Jab Straight stunning an opponent before the player follows up with a Lead Hook and then finally a Leg Kick opponents won't be expecting. Knowing combinations like this before starting to play UFC 4 Ranked will give a player a great start to success.

Since two of the moves are basic attacks only, players shouldn't have too difficult of a time learning this combination and can use it to devastating effect online or offline.

4 Body Straight > Lead Hook > Leg Kick

A Body Straight, Lead Hook, Leg Kick Muay Thai combination on UFC 4.

PlayStation Input

L2 + Triangle, L1 + Square, Circle

Xbox Input

LT + Y, LB + X, B

This Muay Thai combination focuses much more on body attacks than the head, with a Body Straight and Leg Kick capable of chipping away at the opponent. As they are broken up with a Lead Hook in the middle, players can use this combination to keep opponents guessing on where they're going next, which is a UFC pro tip for players who want to succeed online.

This combination is simple enough for even beginner players to learn. They should use Practice Mode to test this combination while using a Muay Thai fighter such as Alistair Overeem.

3 Overhand > Lead Body Hook > Leg Kick

An Overhand, Lead Body Hook, Leg Kick Muay Thai combination on UFC 4.

PlayStation Input

R1 + Triangle, L2 + L1 + Square, Circle held down

Xbox Input

RB + Y, LT + LB + X, B

An Overhand, Lead Body Hook, and Leg Kick Muay Thai combination can do some of the nastiest damage to opponents possible on UFC 4. Overhands have long been a popular part of UFC, and that is reflected by the games.

Since the second step in the combination is a body attack, players can distribute lots of damage to an opponent's head as well as their stomach area. Be sure not to overuse this combination as the Overhand is a pretty slow move that can be blocked and countered by quick-thinking opponents very easily.

2 Body Straight > Lead Hook > Body Roundhouse

A Body Straight, Lead Hook, Body Roundhouse Muay Thai combination on UFC 4.

PlayStation Input

L2 + Triangle, L1 + Square, L2 + Circle

Xbox Input

LT + Y, LB + X, LT + B

This Muay Thai combination combines body and head damage to knock an opponent out quickly and decisively. Hooks and roundhouse moves do a lot of damage on their own, and keep the opponent guessing on where the player is going to strike next.

While the actual button input won't be too challenging for players to obtain, its timing is what makes the combination difficult. This is why players should first learn this combination on Practice rather than rushing straight into fights before mastering it. Every player needs to know the importance of timing on UFC combinations.

1 Straight > Lead Hook > Hook > Lead Body Roundhouse

A Straight, Lead Hook, Hook, Lead Body Roundhouse Muay Thai combination on UFC 4.

PlayStation Input

Triangle, L1 + Square, L1 + Triangle, L2 + Cross

Xbox Input

Y, LB + X, LB + Y, LT + X

This combination pretty much solely targets the opponent's head, apart from the last stage of the combination which targets the body. The Lead body Roundhouses that comes at the climax of the combination is unlikely to be blocked by opponents due to the three head attacks that the player first uses. If the player knows any UFC secret moves, they could follow up this combination with one of them.

While there are four steps in this Muay Thai combination, the button input for each move is very easy, making it simple to learn after a few minutes in Practice Mode. While UFC 4 players will always disagree on the best combinations due to differing fight styles, none can deny the power behind this combination.

UFC 4 is available on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
